Every year as part of the film festival, Dior hosts a dreamy beauty suite that brings together the best makeup artists, hairdressers, facialists and nail artists from across the globe. This year, Dyson chose its Middle East Session Stylist Sebastian Iskander to style the attending A-listers ahead of their stunning red carpet reveals. We asked Sebastian about his first experience at Cannes.

This is your first Cannes Film Festival with Dyson; can you tell us more about your experience?

Sebastian: It was an unforgettable journey. The blend of Hollywood glamour and Dyson’s cutting-edge technology created a unique environment that was both exhilarating and inspiring. Working with Dyson's innovative hair care tools, I was able to push the boundaries of styling and create looks that truly stood out on the red carpet.

The opportunity to collaborate with such a talented team and to style some of the most recognised names in the industry was a dream come true. The experience not only enhanced my professional skills but also deepened my appreciation for the art of hair styling.

Sebastian: Using the Dyson Supersonic r™ Professional at Cannes was a game changer. This newly launched hair dryer is the lightest, smallest and most precise styling tool I’ve used on my clients’ hair. Some of the notable names included Isabelle Drummond, Farhana Bodi, Sasha Ray, Maria Bahrawi, Alicia Agneson, Matt Dillon, Nathalie Marchak and Marta Lozano. Each of these celebrities brought their unique style and charisma to the red carpet, and it was an honour to work with them and help them shine at such a prestigious event.

What are the biggest hair trends this summer?

Sebastian: This summer is all about embracing a more natural, relaxed aesthetic. We're seeing a move towards effortless chic styles, such as simple blow-dries and loose curls with minimal volume. This trend celebrates the beauty of natural hair textures, creating a refreshing and laid-back vibe for the summer season.
